Nolina arenicola
Sand Bear Grass
|
A fantastic
member of the agave family that is native to Texas. Over time it will
form large clumps of evergreen strap foliage with leaves reaching 4-6
ft in length (probably not that big in our climate). In spring it
send up sturdy 3’ stalks covered in small white blooms. Wants heat
and prefers alkaline conditions and probably doesn’t like winter
wet—but worth the effort! |
